Sustainability in architecture is fast becoming more and more important with Local Authority and Government Regulations continuing to become more involved and more demanding. At Peter WIlmot Architects we offer advice and have a range of experience in the various areas of sustainable architectural techniques.
Sustainable architecture seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings by enhancing efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy and development space. Most simply put, the idea of sustainability, or ecological design, is to ensure that our actions and decisions today do not inhibit the opportunities of future generations.
There are various ways of achieving this including sustainable energy use, sustainable building materials, waste management and building placement. We offer advice on all of the above and any of the following:
- Solar Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal Panels.
- Wind turbines.
- Heat pumps (both ground and air source).
- Biomass Heating.
